About Us

ALFF Mission Statement
(Revised 2016)

Our goal and desire is to make disciples that are spiritually balanced, beacons of light, and faith to our community and city.  We desire to help our members deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other.  We want to reach people through God’s love, using creative and contemporary methods.  We pledge our lives to demonstrate His love through worship and ministry, and we pledge to provide opportunities to meet the needs of the people of our church and community.

ALFF - Vision Statement
(Revised 2016)

ALFF is a place of fellowship, where people love God and pursue the discipleship of Jesus Christ through a spiritually balanced approach.  We use the word of God and grace to reach the lost and develop believers through creative contemporary methods.

What we believe?

The entire Bible was given to us by the inspiration of God and is useful to teach us what is true.  It corrects our daily walk with God and helps us do what is right.  It also empowers us to become the best people that we could possibly be.  It is God’s way of making us well prepared to live the most successful lives that we could possibly live.
(II Timothy 3:16-17; I Thessalonians 2:13)

God is One but manifested in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  All are equal.
(John 5:17)

Salvation through grace, by faith in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ are we saved.  The term salvation is also accepted as the new birth.  No one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again.
(Ephesians 2:8-10; John 3:3; Romans 10:9-10)

Water Baptism - believers are instructed to get baptized as a symbolism of repentance.  (Mark 3:11; Romans 6:1-4)  Also, it identifies a believer with Christ.  (Matthew 28:19)

Baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire - It is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation.  It is received after the new birth.  This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Holy Ghost Himself gives utterance.  (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16; Acts 1:8)

We believe in the resurrection of all men and women to a final judgment; eternal blessing for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked (Matthew 25:31-46)

Elder Steve’s Vision

“My heart’s desire is that ALFF is a safe place where people can talk about their real problems, their hurts, their hang ups, and not be blown out of the  water by the judgments of others.   One reason some people don’t want to talk about their problems is because of the “BAZOOKA CHRISTIANS” which are standing there waiting to BAZOOKA them down if they do or say anything wrong.  We are not saying wrong is right, or right is wrong.  We do believe people must make a decision to turn away from their sins and turn to Jesus, because Jesus is the only person who can save us.

We believe that people should have time to grow, and mature in God. If a correction is needed, let’s bring it in love, coupled with mercy.  Use tact and wisdom in helping others understand how to choose the good, refuse the evil, and represent Christ in a righteous and powerful way.
