MINISTER CAROL PRINCE

Carol Prince was born in Brooklyn, New York but brought up in the neighborhood of Avondale, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Graduating from Walnut Hills High School, she went on to Capital University in Columbus, Ohio to earn a BA degree both in Psychology & Sociology, with a minor in Religion.

Carol then worked for the State of Ohio for over 15 years, and during this time she earned her certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. After leaving the position with the State of Ohio, for the next several years she co-partnered and co-owned a rehabilitation company, T & S Management Services.

From 1998 – 2011, at Brown Mackie College, she advanced from adjunct teacher to Student Advisor to Director of Academic Advising. In 2008 she earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, Chicago Illinois, online degree program. Coming full circle, Carol is once again, since 2013, doing contract work with the State of Ohio.

Though raised in a Christian home, Carol did not come to know the Lord personally until 1977. In 1981, Carol joined Abundant Life Faith Fellowship and has been a faithful member for the last 40 years. While at ALFF as Abundant Life is fondly called, she has also been a faithful and busy servant, with the desire to assist Elder Stephen Brown in fulfilling the vision God gave him for the church.

Since 1988, starting as a volunteer and then on staff; she has served as Church Administrator, Program Developer and Events Coordinator, developing programs, policies and procedures for church operations; developed, implemented, and taught curriculums and classes for Orientation/New Members training and School of Discipleship, created manuals and trained Volunteers for School Supply Giveaway Outreach and Prayer Ministry Workers; as well as various training workshops for leadership teams; coordinated Women’s and Marriage Conferences and Workshops and ALFF Prayer Walk-Thru Event. Her counseling duties include pre-marital and date counseling. She is a licensed and ordained minister and has had the opportunity to officiate several weddings.

Carol is known as an encourager to the Body of Christ to teach the Word of God in fun, clear-cut and creative ways that Christianity is meant to be experienced as a Lifestyle. She has a passion to encourage women and young women to “wait for the mate that God has for you”. Which is exactly what she did when she married her long-time friend since 1980, Courtland, in 2010. Both she and Courtland believe God brought them together and with Him as the center of their lives, they will stay together. Carol and Courtland love Avenger movies, Jazz Concerts, and their favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds.

Carol’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”.
